Charlotte Donald wins Best Female in a Musical!
The NODA London District Winners for 2019 have been announced and we are thrilled that Charlotte Donald has won the Molly Harle Award for Best Female in a Musical for District 1 (City and Central London), for her amazing performance in Jekyll & Hyde.
Charlotte says “I’m so grateful to receive an award for playing ‘Lucy’ in Centre Stage’s Jekyll and Hyde. Lucy is a part I’ve always wanted to play and I enjoyed the challenge of contrasting her feisty on stage persona in “Bring on the Men” with her vulnerable real self in “Someone like You”.”
Jekyll was Charlotte’s first show with Centre Stage. She told us “Not only do the people behind Centre Stage clearly have a passion and love for theatre, but they ensure that the cast have fun whilst putting on a top quality show. I’ve honestly made some true friends in the cast and am delighted to now be a member of such a great society.”
Charlotte has been doing Am Dram since she was 10 years old, making her stage debut as ‘Agnus’ in Meet Me in St Louis. Since then she couldn’t imagine a life without doing some kind of show or other. This is the third time she’s been nominated for The Molly Harle Award, first for ‘Ulla’ in The Producers and then for ‘Amy’ in Company but she has never won the overall award so who knows, maybe this time!
